For the Martyrs: Supporting Persecuted Christians

March for the Martyrs 2022

Dear Registrants and Supporters,

I hope this message finds you well. As you know, our annual March for the Martyrs, scheduled for Saturday, September 30th, is a crucial event in our efforts to raise awareness about Christian Persecution and advocate for Religious Freedom.

However, rain is now forecasted on September 30th, including the possibility of torrential downpours, according to the Weather Channel Website.

Consequently, we’ve made the difficult but responsible decision to postpone the event. The rally and march are primarily outdoor activities, and our primary concern and responsibility is to ensure a safe and impactful event for everyone involved. We are already assessing a new date which will be announced very soon. All the future event details, including location and program schedule, will remain the same. For the Martyrs  is prompted to make this decision today, Tuesday September 26th,  as our event speakers and many of you imminently begin travel to Washington, D.C.

We are pleased to inform you that our Capitol Hill Day of Advocacy and press conference, scheduled for September 29th, will proceed as planned. This is your opportunity to directly engage Congress on our shared mission and voice your issues in meetings to key lawmakers and staff.

If you have not already done so, please confirm your Hill Day registration by emailing admin@forthemartyrs.com

We look forward to seeing you at the U.S. Congress on September 29th.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding, and we apologize for inconveniences the postponement of our September 30th events may cause. We look forward to marching alongside you on the rescheduled date.

Sincerely,
Gia Chacon

march for the martyrs

Every year, the number of Christians persecuted for their faith continues to increase. Despite the growing crisis of Christian Persecution, this issue is widely ignored by the media and often overlooked within our communities of faith.

You can change that.

You can change that. Stand with persecuted Christians at March for the Martyrs on Saturday, September 30th in Washington D.C.

stand with persecuted christians around the world

On September 30th, we will gather at 3 o'clock at Freedom Plaza for a kick-off rally before the March for the Martyrs begins. There you will hear from survivors of persecution, sing praise and worship, and be encouraged as we prepare to march to stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians worldwide.

The March for the Martyrs procession will depart from Freedom Plaza, go through the streets of Washington, and conclude with a Night of Prayer for the Persecuted.

The Night of Prayer for the Persecuted is a powerful evening. You will hear from survivors, learn from Christian Persecution experts, and come together in prayer for our brothers and sisters who are suffering for their faith. Expect to learn, be challenged, and feel emboldened by the courageous witness of the persecuted Church.
