Reverend Johnnie Moore, President of the Congress of Christian Leaders and the author of The Next Jihad, Defying ISIS and more, is scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the 2021 March for the Martyrs in Washington, D.C.

The Congress of Christian Leaders is an interdenominational body which hopes to encourage unity among evangelicals in the United States and around the world. In a news release, Moore defined the Congress’ mission: “Our goal is to convene like minded, high-impact leaders to strengthen the church, providing advocacy and assistance of all kinds to Christians in this country and worldwide.”

In addition to the Congress of Christian Leaders, Moore has been a twice appointed commissioner for the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom and is the founder of the KAIROS Company, a communications and PR firm.

In an interview with Focus on the Family, Moore recommends ways you can help the persecuted church:

“I’m just convinced that we will never have the fullness of the Christian life unless we’re being persecuted ourselves or helping those who are being persecuted. And God did not give us the blessings he gave us in our country or whatever country you live in for yourself … he gave it to us to serve those who need our help.”

“The most effective form of discipleship is exposing the Church in this country and future generations to the stories of these young people, men and women, whose faith actually cost them something and cost them something every single day.”

“The first thing is pray….Pray specifically and thoughtfully for these countries. … Put your money where your mouth is. And get involved, you know, raise your voice. Members of Congress, Democrat and Republican, respond when people care. When you tell the stories and make it a priority in your home, your church, your office, people start paying attention to these things and that’s how change happens around the world.”

“Pray like you hope someone will pray for you. Give like you hope someone would give if you were them. And raise your voice like you hope someone would raise their own voice for you.”
